OK i reckon it was 1978 when I hit my first concrete and it was over at Portland Bill near Weymouth.

Does anyone else remember that park ??

It's still there... just buried under tonnes of dirt.. I think it's a 'moon buggy' track and pikey outdoor market .. I never got to skate the thing but have checked the photos..gotta get my hands on a digger , ha ha

My first skatepark too. We were going to France for summer hols. and after much persuasion I managed to get my dad to take me there. When we got there the Skateboard! test team were there. Also remember Lorne Edwards being there possibly Tim Levis too. They were all in the big bowl which looked amazing. I had to stay on the snake run which was rough as f*ck instead of being in danger of looking a complete tw*t in front of them on my Welsh Skateboard Centre own make board, pads and gardening gloves.
