Hey Bod !

I have a wicked shot of us all stood on the mogul at Wickies. must be arround 82-3 and you are on it. Shot taken by Niel Hickford. Hes still around and I have a few beers with him when I'm in Kettering. Hre has a huge collection of photos from early 80's of Wickies.  I moved to Porthcawl about 6 months ago. Brad just emigrated to NZ with wife n 3 kids. Alice(little kid from Corby) is out there to. Oscar and nick are in Newquay. Jez is near Heathrow. Last I heard Massa was running a dating agency and spending a lot of time in Thiland. Lee is a lecturer in Scotland and Ivan is a Posti in Kettering with Bocka.

John Bod

Hello mate I was thinking about you the other day. Ashley day from leicester gave me a DVD full of stills and video of skating over the years and you are in some of the Wicksteed shots.

As Ally said I left Kettering (again) in January and I'm in upside down land. Pilch is the director of a graphics company, Massa is still around I used to bump into him in the Temple of Doom (Central Rock cafe) every now and again.

I'll see if I can send you some of the photo's but it's good to hear from you. Do you ever hear from Jonesy?

Take Care

Hi Bod,
Seem to remember hearing your name at Wickie.
I certainly remember Ally Bar ( total nutter )  (-;
I used to skate there around 78-80 , I was the skinny short punk with the Bright Green Flourecent Furry Jacket.
Oh happy days, nothing like that rush you got when you entered the bowl via the snake run almost hit the lip only to forget to kick turn and fall like a total prat OUCH.

If anyone should remember me feel feel to mail.
BTW just turned 40 and brought myself a new board , but wife won`t let me out on it in daylight ha ha

Hey forgot to mention the last person to skate the place which was Harvey - originally a BMX boy who saw the light. Also the man that reconnected me with the park this year. The little piece of concrete in my house takes pride of place.

Hey Brad, Here's a few you missed

Jo Mullholland. Rollerskater that could quote every thing the great punk poet John Cooper-Clark wrote.

Rodger Denny. I'll roll in the muddy puddle for a fag.

Kirhan Rebban. Give him beer at 13 and get him to drop in the 18' and hope you dont bump in to his dad.

Skippy the Hippy. Came from some where in E, anglia.

Scunthorpe Truck Grinders. They would pay us a visit now and the. All came dressed as welders.
