8-Wheelers
« on: September 30, 2004, 01:11:29 PM »

Hi there Smiley

Does anyone else have an 8-wheeler these days ? I built a new one this year for turning 40, it skates real well, much better than I do at the moment, but I'm getting there slowly (so very slowly) Wink.

I saw Tony Magnusson win the vert legends at the Monster Mastership last sunday on the tv at 41, wild horses wont keep me out the skatepark now after seeing that Smiley

later guys be good

Richard  Grin

p.s. 40 aint old  Cool

Dave from Rollersnakes in Leicester still has one I think - he was on it at the Rollersnakes Jam at the Edge in Leicester a couple of weeks back.

Hi there Smiley

Thats a nice looking board are they made in the uk ? I rang every shop in the uk i thought might help but people just couldn't help me import one Sad ( They were sympathetic though )

I ended up with a Typhoon made by Winwoods in Hawaii with new school Mid-tracks and Oj2 teamriders

http://www.winwoods.com/veteran.htm

I'm glad i'm not alone in this Wink

later guys be good Smiley

p.s. I'd show u a pic of it but I'm buggered if I know how to post it.

Hey Richard,

Factory 13 are in Ohio, but ship to the UK, here's a pic of a JFA longboard I got from them a couple of years ago;

Those Winwoods boards look good, if you need help posting images, either check the "help" link at the top, or drop me a note...tony@oldskaters.com

My Bulldog 8 is on the way. Check out www.bulldogskates.com.

They have developed a high performance 8 with custom made Tracker Trucks and special wheels. The deck looks awsome, and is supposed to be more rideable than any 8 built before.

I will be at Harrow at some point, but probably not until the New Year

Finally I got around to ordering my 8. It should be here in a few weeks.

Check out www.7wheelsout.com if you haven't already.

Any other U.K. skaters of the 8 out there? We should all hook up sometime, the yanks are having an 8 Jam this summer we should too.  Wink

Alec I have a BDS 8 ready to set up. Did you buy a Factory 13 deck?

It would be interesting to compare decks at some point this summer.

Tony, I got a killer deal from Frank at www.strange-house.net. Factory13 Slik 8 deck, Tracker mids, Alva wheels. As pictured in my previous post, set up to take photos of for the website. $240 shipped to the U.K.
I'll turn up at Harrow with it sometime soon.  Wink

H, just got the deck? Or complete set-up? One on ebay for $1500 right now set up with Lazers and Variflex wheels

Frank is great to deal with....Top Man.

Just let me know when you fit, I'll try to have mine set up, but I don't reckon it will be until after I get back from the States in June.

Just the deck. It's just lying in my dad's garage... Doesn't have grip-tape on it. I'll have to check over my "quiver" when I'm there in July.

1500 dollars? Blimey.
