So, I thought I'd start a new forum dedicated to Canada, as I'm just back from my latest trip to the concrete wonderland that is the Greater Vancouver area, what better way to start the new forum than a picture taken at Seylynn (oldest park in North America?), last week!

So, what's going on with all those "Old Skaters" from Canada, eh?

I'm 28 and just starting to skate!  Am I nuts?

What tricks should I learn first, and how to learn without hanging out w the punks from the local high school?   Cheesy Lips Sealed

Where is this park??  When researching Vancouver area parks for Skateparktour.ca (http://www.skateparktour.ca) this park didn't appear on the radar screen.  Maybe I can add it next summer.

Nice site - I like the VR "visits" - I haven't seen Penticton finished, the earthworks were being done when I saw it, there are so many parks to check out, where to start....?

Check out PD's listing for directions to some of the lower mainland BC parks (including Seylynn): http://www.skullskates.com/parksnew.htm

I started my trip this summer thinking I'd stop at 3 or 4 parks . . . next thing I knew I had shot 25 of them! BC has a lot of pretty decent parks, even in some pretty small towns.  Most of Alberta is a wasteland except for Edmonton which has several real good parks.

Penticton is outstanding!  It is huge!

I'm glad you liked the site, thanks for visiting!
