I have just found this site and it has brought back loads of memories. I used to skate the old Wigan Roller Rink ramp every day, Warrington and the one at Preston all owned by Andy Grimshaw.
One of my earliest memories was seeing Sean Goff for the first time riding the old Warrington ramp (LEGEND!!!!), I think it was the King Kong comp and a small kid doing Christ airs who I eventually met and started to skate with a few years later at bury called Lija.
Where is Pete McNeil (who learned me how to to lien airs at Warrington), Rocker (who always used to take the piss out of by body jars lol) and Pete Dosett with his smooth style?
Has anyone got any pictures of Warrington or Wigan Empire Skate Building?

Glad to hear your still alive and kicking.....this site is really bring out the old troops from around the country. Are you still skating yourself? I remember the Warrington days with good memories and I still have a pieces of the ramp after it was torn down. Hope your well and fit, keep logging on for updates...Good to hear from you.
Cheers for the message. This is a great site and its so cool to see what everyone is upto. I am still skating every now and again, usually at the Bolton Bones skatepark on the deserted vert ramp (trying to lump my middle age spread up the ramp lol). I wish more people would skate vert these days.
I was gutted when Warrington closed then Wigan, at that time I remember vert taking a back seat in British skating and street was all the rage. I think the only decent vert ramp around Manchester at that time was the old Goshen ramp near Bolton. I remember Gooey, Wingnut and Lija were heavy locals there.
Always got my board in the car! Running a Graphic Design company in Manchester (and there is a mini right next door to the office :-)) How about you, what are you upto these days?
I'm still skating and enjoying it now just as much as back in the day......wish more older skaters showed there faces at our local spots....Running a skate store in Sunderland called Habit....
