The mystery of names...
« on: June 29, 2007, 05:38:49 AM »

Can anyone shed some light on the origin of some of skating's oddly named moves?

Why is a "Method" air so called,or a "Mute" for that matter?
How come a nose-boned invert was known as a "Sad" plant?
Was Hawk in Japan when he started over-contorting his mute airs, leading to the name?
And why was a backside grabbed Japan called a "Mosquito"?

Anyone know? Huh
