Hello,
Can anyone tell me which wood was used to make the benjy(I think it was maple)?
made one in mid to late 70's out of pine floorboard, great little board but want to
make a nicer board to fit my acs 651 & red 70's kryptonics on.
Read somewhere benjy boards are reforming the business?
Thank you.

Here's a nice find - a white lightning:

Hi there,

A forum bro over at S&B told me a that it would me nice to post a pic. of my newest find.
As i understand some of you have actualy mastered one of these back in the days.

If there is anything you can tell me about it please let me know.

Regards, Arjan

Tony Hallam in Oz has a great collection with some of South London's finest mixed in there:

Here's mine:

There's also a load of inspiration/reference in the Skateboard! magazine archive:

like this classic John Sablosky shot:

Here's a link to the "new" BenjyBoard, although I'm not sure what's going on over there, it all seems a little quiet these days?

Don't forget to post a pic of yours, once it's built up...

The one with the wheel wells is a 'White Lightning' made from White Ash the stripey ones were I believe Oak and Mahogany.

Nice job fella!

What wood did you use, looks good?

Here's the top of mine, almost as cool as an OLD SKATERS sticker, apologies for the flash.,........

I forgot my "interesting" use of tape, who needed those Green Flashes to actually grip anything anyway, what are you planning?
