I'm from Preston. I know Woody, and the other names seem familiar as well. Did you skate the park that Woody used to look after in Lytham (used to be a Discotheque back in the 70s). We used to go there quite a bit back in the late 80s.

Yeah, next to the old lifeboat station, was there most weekends, that's the first park I ever skated!! When you slammed on the main floor where the jump ramps were you got red stains from the floor, used to be a roller disco before it was the skatepark. I remember seeing Neil Danz hitting the wallride there and 5-0 axle stalling the window ledge!

I used to skate there with Andy Bottomley, Dock, James, David Bryce, David Billington Ally Simms etc. I only really got to know Woody later on when I met the Kirkham lot (as previous post) and we started to make the trips to the Goshen in Bury. I'm sure our paths must have crossed at some stage.

Did you ever skate the Wesham midi ramp that Woody built for us in the 90's?

Hey Justin! Man I forgot about all that mad stuff. Are you still up in Stodday? I'm over in America still, been here since when we smashed that house up.  I came back last year for the first time and it was well different. Spoke to Wingy, I guess he's had a kid now. I've got 2 boys, ones just started skating which is cool so I got another board again. Snowboard in the winter and skate & wakeboard in the summer. You still see any of the old mad heads? I heard Pete's still in Radcliffe and so is Renty. I saw Rik Cooper in Birmingham. It's mad I came accross your post on here cause I was just telling my kid about the time I smashed into sean ward at Barrow and smashed my arm up and you and your mam came to get me at the hospital.  Then you post a message on here the day after, weird eh!

I lost my virginity under some bushes outside when there was a big comp going on one weekend. She was hangin' but it was better than nothing.

I think the shack probably generated a decent portion of population increase over there in Barrow...pretty nasty f@#king someone in that dusty old building, but I'm guilty of it a few times myself...ha, what the hell was I thinking...oh right, I was getting laid.

WOW, hey Justin!  What's going on with you man?  F@#k yeah I remember you skating at the shack with us...you were all mister casual hands in pockets doing stupid f@#king flippy tricks and other things that made my jaw drop...you were bad ass man and I had mad respect for you...I always enjoyed when you came out to Barrow and hung out with Mike and me...I remember you getting barred from Shack and Mike, Gooey and those guys sweet talked Blanchey into letting you back in...that was funny as all hell!

Mike is married now, just bought a house and has a baby girl that's 2 and a son he is trying to adopt with his wife that is 8.  Cool kid, riding dirtbikes and mostly wakeboarding.  Mike owned a competition wakeboard boat and was doing that out here for a while, but he had to sell it.  Hit some hard times for about a year or two, but he's back on track now.  He's an internet car salesmen most days, and he's a mortgage broker on other days.  Doing really well though now, he's done a bunch of weird crap over the years.  He was actually an offshore tugboat captain for like 8 years. 

We both live out in Nor-Cal now.  He lives in Tracy, California and I live in Downtown San Jose, California.  I see all the old timers like Caballero and others around here all the time.  It's weird living here, seeing all these spots that were in all the old videos.

I still skate on and off, depends on my body but I'm not pulling 180° nose blunt slides anymore...now I'm all about long grinds, big carves and disaster slides...that about rounds out my repetoire...ha ha, I'm old now!  Most of my energy is spent on our band, touring and sh!t.  Check it out if you want some new noises...http://www.myspace.com/point3

hahah renty:D i forgot about that dude. man its good to hear from ya agin after this long, i have a kid aswell a boy whos just turned 11, i just got email of wingy, after ages, nest time hes comig through to morecambe were gonna catch up. im still near stodday about 5 miles off, just in lancaster.

dont skate anymore, although i dont know if ya remeber wheels he was from lancaster use to skate barrow, i still see him. we was gonna go skate this mad skatepark thats near us, it looks to good to not skate, my sons got a skateboard and an old one so we were gonna go sket but..it rained:/  so were goin next week.i dont see anyone much, keefos still about i see him around and barney, but i think hes flipped out he looks shook when ya speak to him.
